St Mary Bourne Primary School is a thriving rural village school and we are in the very fortunate position of having beautiful countryside right on the doorstep, enriching our learning environment.  We have a fantastic team of staff, hard-working Governors and supportive parents. The children are always at the centre of everything we do, from their safety and wellbeing to their individual progress in all areas of our curriculum and we aim to provide them with wide ranging opportunities and experiences, both within and beyond the classroom. We work in partnership with parents to share and support your child’s learning journey and continue to learn and develop ourselves as professionals.

Our uncompromising aim is to offer your child rich, inspiring learning experiences through the curriculum we have designed which we will continue to grow and adapt to meet the ever changing needs of learners in tomorrow’s world. Whatever their starting point, we have high expectations for a child, with their learning outcomes, the development of their skills for learning and the growth of an individual’s spiritual, moral, physical and mental wellbeing. 

 We believe that in order to learn, a child needs to feel safe, happy, confident and valued. At St Mary Bourne we recognise that every child has strengths and we support them when they experience difficulties. Our school motto is ‘Learning, growing and achieving together’ and we seek to achieve this with each member of our school community.

We hope that our children look back at their time in our school with pride and a sense of achievement and enjoyment.
